How political boundaries change with time Posted on March 17th, 2014 by

This would be an interesting resource to share with students, especially if you have them work on developing a spatial sense of Europe. I think it would reinforce the idea that political boundaries change over time.

Here’s one that shows how the U.S. political boundaries were invented and changed over time: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2014/03/03/watch-the-united-states-grow-before-your-eyes/

I found this video very interesting, it’s amazing how much the countries have changed over the years. I believe this is a wonderful visual aid to show students the cumber of changes Europe has gone though.

-It was amazing to see how many different selections(countries) there were in the middle of Europe at the beginning of the video

-I also enjoyed watching France move around the map
