As we all know Geofest was such a blast and a great experience. The first session I went to was Ag in the classroom and we did an activity with tasting apples and guessing which was grown in Minnesota and then talked about which one was and how that might affect the quality compared to the quality of an apple from out of state that had to travel to get to us. I thought this was great mini lesson that tied in math, social studies (geography) and science! I mean how often do you hit three subjects in one lesson!? I am definitely try this in my classroom!
