This semester the members of EDU 372/374, “Methods for Teaching Language Arts & Social Studies,” class will be using this blog as an extension of our classroom community and as a way to explore how social media can be used to address new Minnesota Standards for English Language Arts in the K-5 classroom.
We’ll talk in class about what makes a good online discussion, who our audience is for this blog, and how our work setting up this blog can help us think about what our K-5 students might know and need to learn about writing and social media.
