At the GeoFest conference yesterday, my former seventh grade Social Studies teacher Scott Noet led a discussion revolving around his trip to Germany, this past summer. through at program called TOP. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the what the acronym stands for but, he was given the chance to go to Germany and meet with many great minds to talk about the advances that Germany is making in terms of environmental progress. Anyone can apply for this opportunity and if you are selected, you have an all expenses paid trip to Germany! All you have to do is write a lesson plan to bring back and teach to your students in the states. I will try to find some sort of link for the TOP program and post it here. I think that this sounds like a very fun and exciting idea, I would strongly encourage everyone to check it out!
