Idea from Conference: Ticket to Travel Posted on March 27th, 2014 by

I attended the workshop titled “Ticket to Travel for Teachers” because I was interested in the concept of teachers travelling in order to further develop their knowledge of the world and bringing that into the classroom. There were actually quite a few resources and different experiences that teachers are able to utilize to travel for free! A few of the trips that the woman who was presenting did was to New Mexico to learn about Islam, Los Angeles to learn about Korean culture, South Africa to help with the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and many more.

Here are a few links to look up different trips for different grade levels and time periods. Some are just week long trips or weekend trips to other parts of the US.
