Key Idea from the Week! Posted on March 24th, 2014 by

Over the past 5 days I was in Kindergarten Practicum with Mrs. Sizer. Throughout the week I learned many important concepts and ideas that I will able to take into both student teaching and my own classroom. One of the most important ideas that I learned were ways to create fillers throughout the day. Mrs. Sizer was constantly incorporating learning even during transitions and bathroom breaks. Some examples of this were counting to 100 by 2’s, 5’s or 10’s and writing site words on their slats while they wait for their classmates. All of the ideas that Mrs. Sizer used in her classroom were helpful ways to use at all ages and grades.
