Peaceful conflict resolution Posted on March 12th, 2014 by

I really enjoyed the comic books on peaceful conflict resolution! I agree with Valerie that students find excitement in violence and think that peace is boring. It’s important to convey to children the negative consequences from violence, and the positive outcomes of peaceful conflict resolution. The comic books are a great way for students to think of a situation that they have been in, and evaluate the ways to handle it, and then choose the one with the most positive consequences.

I really enjoyed looking at these comic books too! I think its an awesome idea to allow students to draw and create their own comic book – and it really appeals to the artistic learners! The idea of a comic book can be relateable to many other subject areas, too!
