There is always talk about how there is a larger gap in achievement between white students and students of color. In the article I found there is recent improvement in the achievement gap of elementary students, but not as large of improvements in older grades. The article suggests some reasons to why this is the case. I would be interested to hear what other students believe are new developments in elementary schools that are closing the achievement gap and what else they feel can be done.
