Hi everyone!
After a few weeks in practicum, I’m sure we have a lot of funny quotes and things that have happened while in the classroom. I thought it’d be fun to share some of the funny things that have gone on (with complete anonymity of course).
2 of the funniest things that have happened so far in 4th grade:
– A student brought their freshly caught squirrel pelt to class…which was a huge shock for Allie and me!
– We were working on water and a few students LOST it when they heard how to spell Mississippi – because pp sounded like peepee.

One day a girl goes to me, “Why you looking at me?”
I respond, ” I am not I’m watching Mr. Murphy.”
She says, ” Oh, okay I’m wearing a bra today!”
I respond: ” Oh that is nice.”
She says, ” Yes it is black!”
Keep in mind this a second grader.. i had to walk away i was laughing so hard!
NOT one of my favorite moments – having a student get caught cheating 🙁
These are great! One of my favorites from my class came during our math lesson. We had a station where students had to make the total cost of some items. I was looking at two of our students’ work and noticed they were adding a couple cents to each problem. They then told me they were adding a couple cents for cancer research. Awesome.
