I highly suggest everyone in the class read up on the goals and mission of the Born this way foundation. Although Lady Gaga can be scandalous I do feel like she is someone to look up to and socially is exactly what we need as a country. We have had far too few celebrities use their money and power for something pure and good. As far as social studies go Gaga and other celebrities involved in social justice could be a very fun way to get students researching and learning to form social justice passions on their own.
