This week we started to talk about our memories of social studies and language arts from elementary school. One thing that stuck out to me in this conversation was how excited everyone was when we talked about our past teachers who took us on field trips or dressed up as historical characters or recognized our writing as special. We also began to learn about how to use the writing process in K-5 classrooms and began generating ideas for our own “Where I’m From” poems.
Starting next week members of the class will start to take turns writing these weekly updates!
